This Privacy Policy explains what information KnockReady (operated by Baird Ventures Group, LLC — “KnockReady,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our websites and apps (the “Platform”) and works alongside our Terms of Service.
KnockReady connects homeowners and vendors, so some information is shared to make that connection work:
We use trusted service providers to run the Platform, and they may process your information only to provide those services to us and under obligations of confidentiality. Our current providers include Supabase (database, authentication, and backend hosting), Vercel (website and application hosting), and Resend (email delivery). If you enable push notifications, alerts are delivered through the push service built into your browser and device (for example, Apple, Google, or Mozilla); we send only the minimum needed to notify you (such as the trade and general area) and never your exact address, phone, or name. We may add or change providers as the Platform evolves, and we will keep this section current.
Person-level background screening of a vendor’s representatives is conducted by the vendor (the employer), not by KnockReady. If a vendor uses a third-party screening provider, that provider handles that information under its own terms.
We may share information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights and safety of users and the public, or in connection with a business transfer.
KnockReady does not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.
Location is central to how KnockReady works, so we handle it carefully. We use your location to place your home or vendor area and to match nearby requests. Homeowners are shown to vendors by approximate area only; a homeowner’s precise address is revealed only when the homeowner chooses. You can turn location permission on or off in your device settings, and vendors can control their visibility (Available / Busy / Off) at any time.
By using the Platform you agree we and matched users may contact you about your account and requests by email, text, or push notification. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of non-essential messages using the unsubscribe or opt-out method in the message, or by contacting us. Some messages (like security or transaction notices) are necessary to use the Platform. If you turned on push notifications, you can turn them off at any time from the rep screen in the app, or in your browser or device settings; doing so removes the push token for that device.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform. After you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period — generally up to 24 months — except where we are required or permitted to keep it longer to meet legal, tax, security, dispute-resolution, or record-keeping obligations (for example, records of the Terms you accepted). You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Section 9).
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Residents of some states (for example, California and other states with privacy laws) may have additional rights. To exercise any right, contact us at privacy@getknockready.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where the changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
